How Do You Network your Work?

Since I do Virtual Assistant work, and editing, authors have asked me how I network and where? I have found many wonderful sites to post to. I keep a log of the sites that I have already posted for my author. Every few days I post something else about them. I keep this up so others will learn the name of the author and what she/he writes. Depending on what the author writes will depend on the networking. Since I am an editor of books and stories, I post to those kinds of sites.

Here are a few of the blogs or websites that I post to.

Authors Den
BookMarket
GoodReads
Boomj.com
Facebook
Twitter
MySpace

Of course there are many more, but you get the picture. Since I have over 1100 friends on Facebook, I make sure and tell them about my author.

The main goal is to get their name out there. That extra push with networking is paying off for the author. You have to make sure the author follows up on all questions and new friend requests.

Find something free to give to your new friends. Do you have a short piece of writing that you can share? Some advice? Whatever it is, make sure you follow up with your new friends and keep them interested in what you do.
